Waldorf-inspired art and music classes for parents & children.
Forest Playgroup™ is a Waldorf-inspired parent & child program in nature. Based on early childhood theory and best practice, classes are centered around a seasonal rhythm designed to nurture children, support parents, and create an inspired educational foundation fostering growth and exploration.
Forest Playgroup™ is held in 12-week sessions with an option for 4-week “trial” blocks. Through repitition and predictability, children settle deeply into the social nature of the program, the gentle structure of each gathering, and working with a teacher. Families experience consistent, enriching, and joyful circle time experiences creating a lasting memory and connection to the community and nature.
Parents receive class details upon registration.
Session fees are non-refundable and non-transferable for all without exception.

Forest Playgroup™ is a Waldorf-inspired art and music class held in the woods. Classes are offered for babies, toddlers, and all children.
Hands-on, meaningful work, under the sky, among new friends, allows invaluable foundational learning to emerge through self- discovery.
Forest Playgroup™ classes nurture and celebrate through the seasons. Classes are currently in Arcadia and Glendale. There are also occasional specialty classes in the greater LA area through the year.
Miss Betsy holds three degrees in family and human development, certifications, Waldorf training, and child development credential. Families can expect a wholesome, engaging, and supportive class structure for very young learners.
Miss Betsy’s uniquely nurturing circle time includes family singing or story followed by arts & crafts for parents and children.
Outdoor Classes for Children & Parents in Nature
Playgroup curriculum is informed by Waldorf Early Childhood Education and other whole-child learning theories and philosophies, all of which are of profound developmental value and remind of simpler times.
