Acorns & Oaks is the first ever parent & child class held at the historic Los Angeles Arboretum!
Circle time unfolds beneath awe-inspiring trees, where families sing, play, and are occasionally joined by peacock families, bunnies, and squirrels. Each gathering is followed by a creative, hands-on arts and crafts project connected to our songs and stories, supporting early literacy through rich sensory play.
Throughout the session, groups enjoy guided nature walks to favorite child-friendly spots tucked within the Arboretum’s gardens and woodlands.
Children ages six and under are welcome to enroll in Acorns & Oaks.
A joyful, gentle, and enriching nature-based family class.

Hand Kite Workshop for Little Ones
Families are invited to gather for a special summer gathering beneath the shady oaks for a gentle morning of stories, songs, and connection. Together, we’ll create simple hand-kites using foraged sticks, beeswax, silk, and cotton—perfect for catching the breeze at the beach or dancing through a summer garden.
Sunday Morning at 9:15am-10:30am
Dates: Sunday, July 26th
