Parenting in Practice 2026
Facilitated by Betsy Edelberg, MSFHD.
Parenting in Practice enters its fourth year with a new and innovative approach.
The relationship between parent and child, especially between mother and child, has the power to shape not only family life today but also the values, patterns, and sense of connection carried forward across generations. Parenting in Practice is a private supportive group for open-minded parents who value growth, connection, and inner freedom. The program offers dedicated time for parents to slow down, feel restored, and focus on nurturing these bonds with care and presence. Over the course of nine thoughtfully designed sessions, participants engage in one private consultation, three group forest therapy sessions to restore and reconnect with nature with scripts provided for families who cannot attend in person, and five remote group workshops focused on intentional reflective parenting. Parents who join receive fifteen percent off all Playgroup programs (third party excluded) and fifty percent off additional private consultations. Once families complete the program, they can rejoin in following years at fifty percent off to continue their journey and deepen their commitment. Parenting in Practice is an invitation to reconnect, restore, and strengthen your relationship with your children while caring for your own well-being. Reserve your spot today and take this intentional step for your family.
Families can continue to expect clear, structured learning grounded in established theories of human development and secure attachment. The 2026 program also introduces a structured experiential component that supports emotional regulation, sustained attention, and confidence within family life. This component incorporates evidence informed, nature based practices, including forest therapy, as a complementary approach to promoting overall well being.
“Held” is the theme for Parenting in Practice 2026.
PIP 2026 invites parents to examine the expectations they bring to caregiving, consider how their own developmental history influences current parenting practices, assess the role of play and engagement in family life, and evaluate how attentiveness and consistency shape parent child relationships.
This program provides research informed insight that supports the healthy development of parents, children, and families.

Questions?
Parent wellness, maturity, and consistency frees children to have truly nurturing and whole childhoods.

This is my first experience raising a child. Before Parenting In Practice I felt lost and overwhelmed, unsure how to navigate the challenges of baby-turning- toddler time.
Through the meetings and workbooks I began to gain confidence and new perspective.
It was a real deep dive into my own childhood and the way I was raised. This reflection was healing and enlightening beyond what I expected. I am breaking negative patterns passed down from previous generations and feel so proud of this.
The group sessions were incredibly supportive. There were many parents going through similar struggles and Betsy would guide us through it all. I never felt judged, and was always met with understanding and compassion.
At the end of these 9 months, I feel confident as I’m continually growing with my little one. When problems arise I now have the tools to guide us through.
Words cannot convey how much I value the wisdom Betsy has shared with us. I will always be grateful for this nurturing community she has brought together.
