Forest Playgroup™ is a Waldorf-inspired art and music class held in the woods. Classes are offered for babies, toddlers, and all children.
Hands-on, meaningful work, under the sky, among new friends, allows invaluable foundational learning to emerge through self- discovery.
Forest Playgroup™ classes nurture and celebrate through the seasons. Classes are in Sierra Madre, adjacent to NE Pasadena. There are also occasional specialty classes in the greater LA area through the year.
Miss Betsy holds three degrees in family and human development, certifications, Waldorf training, and child development credential. Families can expect a wholesome, engaging, and supportive class structure for very young learners.
Miss Betsy’s uniquely nurturing circle time includes family singing or story followed by arts & crafts for parents and children.
Outdoor Classes for Children & Parents in Nature
Playgroup curriculum is informed by Waldorf Early Childhood Education and other whole-child learning theories and philosophies, all of which are of profound developmental value and remind of simpler times.
